HEY YA! *outkast voice*
Thank you for visiting my RUDM 2018 fundraising page!
The purpose of this page is to rasie money for Embrace Kids Foundation, which is a local non-profit that helps support children with cancer and other blood disorders. It's important to note that Embrace supports families non-medical needs which makes Rutgers Dance Marathon the only Dance Marathon in the nation to donate directly to families!! This is super important to me as a third-year returning fundraiser as I know we are able to directly impact and support the lives of people who live in the communities around us. Embrace is also looking to expand supporting more families throught the entire state of NJ as RUDM grows in numbers and is able to donate more funds each year to this amazing organization. Throughout the year I am able to meet many of the families and build a relationship with them as I see them at Embrace Kids Foundation events. These families are awesome people and I am so happy to have the opportunity to help support them!
I am excited to announce that I will be participating in RUDM 2018 as an Assistant Director of Dancer Relations! Last year I was a captain of Dancer Relations and an Emcee. My role in this position is to conduct presentations, information sessions, and other outreach events in order to recruit new and returning dancers. At the marathon I will be teaching the 2018 line dance with another Central Planning Team + member!!
RUDM is celebrating 20 years! We have been dancing For the Kids for 20 years now and can't wait to see everything come together this year on April 6th and 7th in the Rutgers Athletics Center on the Livingston Campus. The marathon is two 12-hour sessions for dancers, though the Central Planning Team and CPT+ are on our feet for the entire weekend-from set-up on Thursday to break down on Saturday night/Sunday morning.
Thank you so much for your support!
