Many of Embrace Kids patient families were struggling financially before the COVID crisis. Many of our patients come from single parent households that would be characterized as the working poor, and these families have particularly faced substantial hardship. They are working hard and always fighting uphill. They cannot afford to miss a few days of work so they are particularly vulnerable. Embrace Kids programs were created to provide daily support, social interaction and a shoulder to cry on. That has all been taken from the patient families as they face even more hardship and stress while their child battles a devastating illness. But we can help SUSTAIN them financially.

Any donation that we receive during the Sustain Our Families Campaign until December 31st will go 100% to direct aid for patient families. Embrace Kids will provide increased and sustained payments for rent, mortgage, utilities and gift cards for needed items. We will also provide funding for Thanksgiving meals, holiday meals and holiday gifts. The situation is urgent, so we will make funds available immediately (the day after your donation is received) to benefit a patient family.
